Add the Avalara Connector

Authenticate to Avalara

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties. supports authenticating to in two ways. Select your authentication method below to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.

Basic

To connect with your user credentials, specify the following properties:
  • Auth Scheme: Select Basic.
  • User: Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your account.
  • Password: Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your account.

License Key

To connect with a license key, specify these settings:
  • Auth Scheme: Select LicenseKey.
  • Account Id: Enter your account identifier (Id). The Account Id is listed in the upper right corner of the admin console.
  • License Key: Enter your license key. To generate a license key:
    1. Log in to as an account adminstrator.
    2. Select Settings > Reset License Key to generate a license key.

Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:
  1. Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
  2. Click Create & Test to create your connection.
