Add the Informix Connector

Authenticate to Informix

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.
  • Server: Enter the name of the IBM Informix server.
  • Port: Enter the port number that connects to the server that hosts your Informix database. The default port value is 50000.
  • Database: Enter the name of your Informix database.
CData Sync supports authenticating to Informix in two ways. Select your authentication method from these methods:
  • USRIDPWD (default)
  • EUSRIDPWD (Select this method if the Informix server requires the user credentials to be encrypted.)
To connect using either method, specify the following properties:
  • User: Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your Informix database.
  • Password: Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your Informix database.

Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:
  1. For Use SSL, select whether you want to enable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). By default, the Enable checkbox is not selected.
  2. Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
  3. Click Create & Test to create your connection.
