Add the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector

Authenticate to Microsoft Dynamics CRM

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

• URL: Enter the root URL for your organization.
  • For CRM 4.0 or a CRM 2011, the URL is in this form: http://MySite/MyOrganization.
  • For CRM Online, the URL is in this form: https://MyOrganization.crm.dynamics.com
• CRM Version: Select the type of Microsoft Dynamics CRM server to which you want to connect. The default version is CRM2011+.

CData Sync supports authenticating to Microsoft Dynamics CRM in several ways. Select your authentication method below (based on your CRM version) to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.

• For CRM version CRM2011+, the following auth schemes are available:
  • NTLM (default)
  • OAuth
  • Kerberos
• For CRM version CRMOnline, the following auth schemes are available:
  • OAuth (default)
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Azure Service Principal
  • Azure Service Principal Certificate

NTLM

To connect with NTLM user credentials, specify the following properties:

• Auth Scheme: Select NTLM.
• User: Enter the SharePoint username that you use to authenticate to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.
• Password: Enter the password that you use to authenticate to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.

Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:

1. (Optional) For Organization Name, enter your organization name.
2. Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
3. Connect to Microsoft Dynamics CRM to connect to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM account.
4. Click Create & Test to create your connection.
