# Sage 50 UK

You can use the Sage 50 UK connector from the CData Sync application to capture data
from Sage 50 UK and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add
the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.

## Prerequisites

For Sage 50 UK v28 and later, you must install the Sdata adapter before you use the Sage 50 UK driver. See the [Sage SData-2.0 documentation](https://github.com/Sage/SData-2.0/issues/171) for information about how to install the adapter.

The Sync application connects to Sage 50 UK data via the SData REST API, which is included with the Sage 50 UK installation. SData provides access to both local company datasets and those stored on network drives.

Before you establish a connection, ensure the Sage SData service is properly configured. Then, follow these steps to obtain the dataset URL and connect:

1. Open the Sage 50 UK software and select **Tools > Internet Options**.
2. Click the **SData Settings** tab.
3. Click **Details** next to the Sage 50 UK application to which you want to connect. This action opens a window that displays a list of company names along with the addresses to their corresponding datasets.
4. Set the **URL** property in the "Authenticate to Sage 50 UK" section below to the value in the address field next to the company that you want to use.

## Add the Sage 50 UK Connector

To enable Sync to use data from Sage 50 UK, you first must add the
connector, as follows:

Open the **Connections** page of the Sync dashboard.

Click **Add Connection** to open the **Select Connectors** page.

Click the **Sources** tab and locate
  the **Sage 50 UK** row.

Click the **Configure Connection** icon at the end of that row to open
the **New Connection** page. This action opens the
    **Add Connection** dialog.

**Note:** If the **Configure Connection** icon is not
available, click the **Download Connector** icon to install
    the Sage 50 UK connector.

Enter a name for your connection in the **Add Connection** dialog.

Click **Add** to open the **Settings** tab for your connector.

For more information about installing new connectors, see
[Connections](https://docs.sync.cdata.com/26.4/en/connections/connections.md).

## Authenticate to Sage 50 UK

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

**URL:** Enter the URL for company data set that you want.
