# Microsoft Dynamics CRM

You can use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector from the CData Sync application to capture data
from Microsoft Dynamics CRM and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add
the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.

## Add the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector

To enable Sync to use data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you first must add the
connector, as follows:

Open the **Connections** page of the Sync dashboard.

Click **Add Connection** to open the **Select Connectors** page.

Click the **Sources** tab and locate
  the **Microsoft Dynamics CRM** row.

    Click the **Configure Connection** icon at the end of that row to open
    the **New Connection** page. This action opens the
    **Add Connection** dialog.

    **Note:** If the **Configure Connection** icon is not
    available, click the **Download Connector** icon to install
    the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector.

Enter a name for your connection in the **Add Connection** dialog.

Click **Add** to open the **Settings** tab for your connector.

For more information about installing new connectors, see
[Connections](https://docs.sync.cdata.com/26.4/en/connections/connections.md).

## Authenticate to Microsoft Dynamics CRM

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

* **URL:** Enter the root URL for your organization.
  * For CRM 4.0 or a CRM 2011, the URL is in this form: http\://*MySite*/*MyOrganization*.
  * For CRM Online, the URL is in this form: https\://*MyOrganization*.crm.dynamics.com
* **CRM Version:** Select the type of Microsoft Dynamics CRM server to which you want to connect. The default version is **CRM2011+**.

CData Sync supports authenticating to Microsoft Dynamics CRM in several ways. Select your authentication method below (based on your CRM version) to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.

* For CRM version **CRM2011+**, the following auth schemes are available:
  * [**NTLM**](#ntlm) (default)
  * [**OAuth**](#oauth)
  * [**Kerberos**](#kerberos)
* For CRM version **CRMOnline**, the following auth schemes are available:
  * [**OAuth**](#oauth) (default)
  * [**Azure Active Directory**](#azure-active-directory)
  * [**Azure Service Principal**](#azure-service-principal)
  * [**Azure Service Principal Certificate**](#azure-service-principal-certificate)

### NTLM

To connect with NTLM user credentials, specify the following properties:

* **Auth Scheme:** Select **NTLM**.
* **User:** Enter the SharePoint username that you use to authenticate to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.
* **Password:** Enter the password that you use to authenticate to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.

### OAuth

CData Sync provides an embedded OAuth application with which to connect. To use the application, select **OAuth** for **Auth Scheme**. No additional properties are required.

### Kerberos

To connect with Kerberos, specify these settings:

**Auth Scheme:** Select **Kerberos**.

**User:** Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM account.

**Password:** Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM account.

**Kerberos KDC:** Enter the host name or IP address of your Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) machine.

**Kerberos Realm:** Enter the Kerberos realm that you use to authenticate to Kerberos.

**Kerberos SPN:** Enter the service principal name (SPN) for the Kerberos domain controller.

**Kerberos User:** Enter the principal name for the Kerberos Domain Controller. The name should be in the form ***Host*/*User*@*Realm***.

(Optional) **Kerberos Keytab File:** Enter the full file path to your Kerberos keytab file.

(Optional) **Kerberos Ticket Cache:** Enter the full file path to an MIT Kerberos credential cache file.

### Azure Active Directory

To connect with an Azure Active Directory (AD) user account, select **AzureAD**
