# Zoho CRM

You can use the Zoho CRM connector from the CData Sync application to move data
from any supported source to the Zoho CRM destination. To do so, you need to add
the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.

## Add the Zoho CRM Connector

To enable Sync to use data from Zoho CRM, you first must add the
connector, as follows:

<ol>
  <li>Open the **Connections** page of the Sync dashboard.</li>
  <li>Click **Add Connection** to open the **Select Connectors** page.</li>
  <li>Click the **Destinations** tab and locate
  the **Zoho CRM** row.</li>

  <li>
    Click the **Configure Connection** icon at the end of that row to open
    the **New Connection** page. This action opens the
    **Add Connection** dialog.

    **Note:** If the **Configure Connection** icon is not
    available, click the **Download Connector** icon to install
    the Zoho CRM connector.
  </li>

  <li>Enter a name for your connection in the **Add Connection** dialog.</li>
  <li>Click **Add** to open the **Settings** tab for your connector.</li>
</ol>

For more information about installing new connectors, see
[Connections](https://docs.sync.cdata.com/26.4/en/connections/connections.md).

## Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:

1. Specify the following properties:
   * **Region:** Select the region that is associated with the domain of your Zoho CRM server URL. The default region is **US**.
   * **Schema:** Select your Zoho CRM version. Each Zoho CRM version has its own data model. Version values are **v2**, **v2.1**, and **v4** (default).
   * (Optional) **Use COQL:** Select whether you want Sync to use the Query API to retrieve data or whether you want to use another API. By default, the **Enable** checkbox is already selected.
     * Select the **Enable** checkbox use the Query API. This API uses CRM Object Query Language (COQL) to query data from Zoho CRM.
     * Clear the **Enable** checkbox if you want to use another API. When you clear the checkbox, the **API Type** drop-down list is displayed. You can choose either **Bulk** or **REST** (default) as the API.
2. Define advanced connection settings on the **Advanced** tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
3. Click **Create & Test** to create your connection.

## Supported Modules

The Sync supports only the following Zoho CRM modules:

* `Leads`
* `Accounts`
* `Contacts`
* `Deals`
* `Campaigns`
* `Cases`
* `Solutions`
* `Products`
* `Vendors`
* `Price Books`
* `Quotes`
* `Sales Orders`
* `Purchase Orders`
* `Invoices`
* `Appointments`
* `Appointments Rescheduled History`
* `Services`
* `Custom`

## Keys for Record Matching

To match records from your source to your Zoho CRM destination, use the following key columns:

* For upserts: Use either the Zoho system-defined or a custom **Duplicate Check** column. You can also use the **External ID** column that you set for a module.
* For updates: Use either the **ID** column or the **External ID** column.

For details about system-defined duplicate-check fields for each module, see the "System-defined Duplicate Check Fields" section in the [Zoho CRM Insert or Update Records (Upsert)](https://www.zoho.com/crm/developer/docs/api/v2/upsert-records.html) documentation.

For details about creating an external Id, see "External ID - An Overview in the Zoho CRM [Records API using External ID](https://www.zoho.com/crm/developer/docs/api/v2/records-api-ext-id-overview.html) documentation.
