## Add the Shopify Connector

## Authenticate to Shopify

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

**Shop URL:** Enter the URL to your Shopify shop.

{siteName} supports authenticating to {pageTitle} in several ways. Select your authentication method below to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.

### OAuth

### Access Token

To connect with an access token, specify the following properties:

* **Auth Scheme:** Select **AccessToken**.
* **Access Token:** Specify your {datasource} access token. To obtain a token, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your {datasource} site from the admin page and select **Apps > Apps and sales channels**.
  2. Click **Develop apps** and select **Create an app**.
  3. On the **Overview** tab, click **Configure Admin API scopes** and select the access permissions for the store that you want to grant to your application. The following permissions are required in order for the {siteNameShort} connector to use all the tables and views:
     * read\_assigned\_fulfillment\_orders, write\_assigned\_fulfillment\_orders
     * read\_content, write\_content
     * read\_customers, write\_customers
     * read\_draft\_orders, write\_draft\_orders
     * read\_fulfillments, write\_fulfillments
     * read\_gift\_cards, write\_gift\_cards
     * read\_inventory, write\_inventory
     * read\_marketing\_events, write\_marketing\_events
     * read\_orders, write\_orders
     * read\_price\_rules, write\_price\_rules
     * read\_product\_listings, write\_product\_listings
     * read\_products, write\_products
     * read\_reports, write\_reports
     * read\_script\_tags, write\_script\_tags
     * read\_shopify\_payments\_payouts
     * read\_themes, write\_themes
     * read\_markets
     * read\_shopify\_payments\_accounts
     * read\_publications
     * unauthenticated\_read\_content (Storefront API)
  4. Click **Save**.
  5. Select **API Credentials**.
  6. Under **Access tokens**, click **Install app**. This action creates your access token.
  7. Copy the access token that is displayed under **Admin API Access token** and paste it in the **Access Token** field in {siteNameShort}.

     <Note>The token can be revealed and copied only once.</Note>

## Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:

1. For **Schema**, select the {datasource} server version to which you want to connect. The default server version is **GRAPHQL-20204-07**.
2. Define advanced connection settings on the **Advanced** tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
3. {oauthschemes ? `If you authenticate with ${oauthschemes}, click` : "Click"} **Connect to {datasource}** to connect to your {pageTitle} account.
4. Click **Create & Test** to create your connection.
