# Jobs

Once you understand the [basic concepts and tasks related to jobs](/26.2/en/getting-started/administration/jobs-page.md), you can move on to more sophisticated features. You implement these features via settings from the **Jobs** page by selecting **Edit** from the options menu (**...**) that corresponds to a specific job. This option opens a **Settings** page with five tabs:

* **Overview**
* **Task**
* **Job History**
* **Events**
* **Comments**
* **Advanced**

These tabs, described in the following sections, offer many robust features, allowing you to customize and enhance the capabilities of your jobs.

## **Overview** Tab

The **Overview** tab contains four settings categories:

* **Last Run:** This category displays whether the last run was successful or whether it failed.
* **Settings:** This category displays current settings for job type, automatic job retry, destination schema, logfile verbosity, and parallel processing.
* **Incremental Replication:** When you click **Configure** in this category, Sync opens the **Incremental Replication** dialog box, which enables you to define various replication settings. For more details and steps to configure these settings, see [Setting Your Initial Replication Job](/26.2/en/getting-started/configuring-jobs.md#defining-settings-for-your-initial-replication-job).
* **Schedule:** When you click **Configure** in this category, Sync opens the **Schedule** dialog box where you can control the frequency of your job run. For more details and steps to configure the schedule, see [Scheduling Jobs](/26.2/en/jobs/scheduling-jobs.md).
* **Notification:** When you click **Configure** in this category, Sync opens the **Notification** dialog box where you can request that Sync alert you via email after a job run is completed. For more details and steps to configure these email alerts, see [Alerts](/26.2/en/jobs/notifications.md).

## **Task** Tab

The **Task** tab enables you to add, edit, and remove tasks for a job. For more details and steps to configure tasks, see [Tasks](/26.2/en/jobs/tasks/tasks.md).

## **Job History** Tab

The **Job History** tab enables you to monitor current job runs and review previous runs. The table on this tab displays status of the job run, the number of records that were affected, and the run time. For more details and for steps to download and archive logs, see [Logs and History](/26.2/en/jobs/logging-history.md).

## **Events** Tab

At times, you might need to integrate external information into data-flow tasks. The **Events** tab enables you to create events that execute before and after a job run. For details about how to include query parameters or to trigger other external processes via your task, see [Events](/26.2/en/events/events.md).

## **Comments** Tab

This tab records and tracks notes that are related to your job. Each comment appears with a timestamp. You can change the sort order based on timestamp by using the drop-down menu in the top-right corner, with options for **Newest First** (default) or **Oldest First**. You can also edit a comment or delete it by clicking, respectively, the **Edit Comment** icon (![Edit Comment icon](https://mintcdn.com/cdata-sync/IzPXzuYOg0g8nJPd/images/Jobs_comments-tab_1.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=IzPXzuYOg0g8nJPd\&q=85\&s=0018fb37e2a04eccdb130acc51d8e1c5)) or the **Remove Comment** icon (![Remove Comment icon](https://mintcdn.com/cdata-sync/IzPXzuYOg0g8nJPd/images/Jobs_comments-tab_2.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=IzPXzuYOg0g8nJPd\&q=85\&s=d852cfaa2cb0153149603f5b63e64aec)) at the end of the row.

## **Advanced** Tab

The **Advanced** tab enables you to configure replication options so you can fine-tune how your data is extracted from your source and how it is replicated to your database. For more details about advanced options, see [Advanced Job Options](/26.2/en/jobs/advanced-job-options.md).
